Library Media Center

Caddie Woodlawn Elementary Library Media Center

Read everyday lead a better life.

Reading is one of the most important skills a child learns in school. Like all skills, improvement comes with practice. You can help your child by encouraging reading at home every day.

The school library serves to instill a love of reading and inspire life-long learning.

Students visit the school library media center weekly to select books, practice information literacy skills and digital citizenship. Third through fifth grade students also have keyboarding instruction in our library media center.

Our library is a beautiful and inviting space where students can discover and be exposed to new characters, genres and information. It is a stimulating place where students may open books and their minds to explore the world.

“Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers. And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open.”
